Agent skills aren’t ‘code’ which you use as-is. They’re designed to be vendored, forked, modified for your use.

Go copy them and modify them! Something has been ’lost’ in the software community where there is this obsession with ‘DRY’.

But seriously, SKILLS are the equivalent of writing a gist or dumping something to pastebin. Stop taking it so seriously.

With that in mind, teams that insist on a harness via a skill or Claude plugin - to me that is madness. You’re standardising on how a person should write their code, or “work”. Unless the goal is for everyone to be a prompting machine I think thats the wrong outcome.

Just let people use their tools how they want.

Make sure YOU use the tools the way you want.
